Textile Engineering Students of Green University Visit Fakhruddin Textiles Mills Ltd.

Share On Thursday, 7 August 2025, the Department of Textile Engineering at Green University of Bangladesh organized an industrial visit to Fakhruddin Textiles Mills Ltd. (FTML), Mawna, Gazipur — a sister concern of Urmi Group and a pioneer in synthetic fabric dyeing, holding global certifications such as ISO, BSCI, GOTS, OCS, and GRS. A total of 18 students from the 223 batch, accompanied by faculty members Ms. Faijun Farin and Ms. Nusrat Jahan Mousumi, explored key sections of the factory including Fabric Batching, Dyeing, Testing Laboratory, Spreading & Cutting, Sewing, Embroidery, Finishing, and Storage. Students were particularly impressed by the automated cutting and embroidery machines as well as the advanced testing facilities. The visit proved to be both beneficial and inspiring, offering students valuable hands-on exposure to the practical aspects of their field. Next article #
