German trade show imm cologne seeing increase in reservations
Cologne, Germany – With more than 70% of exhibition space already reserved, German trade show imm cologne said it is building momentum with strong early commitments for 2026. The interiors show was canceled this year because the German furniture industry was struggling under a difficult economic climate, show organizer Koelnmesse said this past winter. The show has been revamped for January to include all home and living categories under one roof and a new layout that fosters collaboration. It is scheduled to take place at the Koelnmesse fairgrounds in Cologne Jan. 20-23, 2026, in Halls 4, 5, and 10. The theme of the show is “World of Interiors” with an emphasis on business development, product launches and international collaboration. Segments shown are tailored to low-to-medium-range price points with emphasis on functionality and sustainability, Koelnmesse said. The 2026 edition will showcase a broad range of furniture and interior products, from modern, sophisticated comfort to compact, multifunctional solutions. Featured product segments include:
- Modern and multifunctional furniture
- Seating sets, armchairs, loungers, single and functional sofas
- Bedroom, kitchen, and dining room furnishings
- Lighting, accessories, and home textiles “The comprehensive product mix provides international retailers, online platforms, big box retailers, designers and architects with global sourcing opportunities as well as valuable insight into evolving consumer tastes, purchasing behavior and practical innovations in interior living,” Koelnmesse said in a press release.
