Dutch inflation slows to 2.9% in July
Consumer goods and services in the Netherlands were 2.9 per cent more expensive in July this year than a year earlier, according to Statistics Netherlands (CBS). Inflation in June was 3.1 per cent. The July inflation rate is the same as the flash estimate published on August 1. Inflation is measured each month as the increase in the consumer price index (CPI) relative to a year earlier. Prices for consumers rose by 1.3 per cent in July relative to June. According to the European harmonised index of consumer prices, consumer goods and services in the country were 2.5 per cent more expensive in July than they were a year earlier. According to the European harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), consumer goods and services in the country were 2.5 per cent more expensive in July than they were a year earlier.
