Bangladesh Showcasing Strength at World Apparel Trade Fair in Las Vegas

By

Share One of the world’s largest apparel trade fairs has officially begun in Las Vegas, USA, with participation from 29 countries including the host United States. Bangladesh is proudly representing its vibrant apparel sector at this prestigious platform. Amid shifting global sourcing trends, many international buyers are redirecting orders from India and China to Bangladesh due to higher tariffs imposed on those countries. This creates a significant opportunity for our exporters to expand their global footprint and strengthen the “Made in Bangladesh” brand. In an interview with Somoy TV at the event, BGBA Vice President, Mr. A.K.M Saifur Rahman, emphasized the crucial role of government and institutional support in seizing this moment: “If EPB does not provide subsidy-based opportunities for 50–100 exporters to participate in at least 85% of the world’s major trade fairs, there will be no real scope to increase exports. At the same time, our foreign Commercial Councils must take more proactive initiatives to promote B2B trade globally.” ✅ BGBA strongly echoes this call — greater participation in international fairs, combined with stronger commercial diplomacy, will not only boost Bangladesh’s exports but also position our apparel industry as a trusted sourcing hub in the global market. #
