Bangladesh & China Join Hands to Boost Semiconductor Cooperation

A significant milestone for Bangladesh’s semiconductor ecosystem!
The Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) and the Hubei Semiconductor Industry Association (HSIA), China, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral collaboration and accelerate technological innovation.
Key Highlights of the MoU

✅ Develop skilled human resources through training & certification
✅ Encourage cross-border investment & business partnerships
✅ Organize joint events, delegations & expos
Mr. M A Jabbar, President, BSIA and Professor Wei Liu, Vice President, HSIA & Chairman, Academic Committee, School of Integrated Circuits, Wuhan University signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Members from the BSIA Advisory Panel, BSIA Board, and representatives from leading semiconductor companies were also present among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Wei Liu highlighted Wuhan’s strength as “China’s Optical Valley”, home to hundreds of optical communication and semiconductor companies and 60+ universities with 1.3M students.
Mr. M A Jabbar, President of BSIA, expressed his optimism that, “this MoU is a milestone in strengthening Bangladesh’s position in the global semiconductor value chain. It opens doors for business growth, academic exchange, and technological advancement.”
This landmark collaboration positions Bangladesh as an emerging player in the global semiconductor ecosystem and creates new opportunities for innovation, investment, and capacity building.
