AUW Signs MoU with Hirdaramani Bangladesh – Kenpark & Regency

Asian University for Women (AUW) signed an MoU with Hirdaramani Bangladesh – Kenpark & Regency to advance AUW’s Pathways for Promise program. The MoU – signed by Moury Rahman, Director of Admissions, AUW, and Nirosha Fernando, Country Director, Hirdaramani Bangladesh – ensures 10 female garment workers join AUW this Fall with continued salary support.
Beyond this partnership, 30+ more students from leading factories enrolled with ongoing salary support from:
Armana Group, Asian Group, Centro Tex Ltd, Chittagong Fashion Specialized Textiles Ltd, Echotex Ltd, Fakhruddin Textile Mills Ltd (Urmi Group), Giant Group, Masco Group, Mars Sportswear Ltd, Panam Group, Mohammadi Group, Pacific Jeans, Sepal Group, and Tusuka Jeans Ltd.
AUW provides full scholarships funded by UNIQLO. In a parallel initiative, Inditex is supporting 50 additional workers by covering both scholarships and monthly wages.
Altogether, 100+ female garment workers from 50+ factories in Bangladesh are beginning higher education at AUW this Fall.
