Zohir Uddin Mohammad Babor and Md. Al Jabir Sharif Take Charge of ASA Leadership
The Association of Sarstec Alumni (ASA) has announced its new leadership. Zohir Uddin Mohammad Babor has been elected as the President, while Md. Al Jabir Sharif will serve as the General Secretary. Both are proud members of the institution’s very first batch

Established in 2018, ASA is the official alumni organization of Barishal Textile Engineering College. It aims to build strong connections between former and current students, fostering growth through experience sharing, professional networking, and collaborative development.
In his statement, President Babor shared: “ASA is not just an organization; it’s a symbol of unity, growth, and the shared vision of textile engineers to contribute to the future.”
General Secretary Jabir Sharif added: “Our goal is to make ASA a platform where past and present meet, where ideas evolve, and where everyone contributes to shaping a better academic and professional future.”
With this new leadership, hopes are high that ASA will continue to bridge the gap between academia and industry, while empowering the next generation of textile professionals.
