Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris return to the Paris-Le-Bourget

The return of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris to the Paris-Le-Bourget exhibition centre from 10 to 12 February will see a number of innovations both in terms of the products on offer and the visitor itineraries.

For this first event in 2025, more than 1,200 weavers and clothing makers are anticipated at the exhibition center’s Halls 2, 3, and 4. A new era in the tourist experience begins with this return to a renovated area. With innovative collections at affordable costs for the fashion industry, this session will also provide a true representation of the diversity of global sourcing.

New sourcing destinations for Texworld

Other sourcing zones like Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, the Netherlands, and Egypt are enhancing the show’s offerings in addition to the Top 5 weaving nations that are devoted to Texworld: China, Turkey, with its 70 manufacturers gathered under the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce pavilion, India, Korea, and Taiwan. With innovative and especially imaginative catalogs, Dutch exhibitors Quality Textile, Nooteboom & Verhees Textiles are also making a comeback in the cotton industry. We may also observe the involvement of Koreans in the knitwear industry, such as O.N.K., who specialize in circular knitting, W-Tex, whose polyester mixes create amazing decorative textiles, or JK Tex or TL Corporation, who specialize in silky features. This year, the denim industry is expanding, with about thirty exhibitors.

Innovations, initiatives and sustainability

Inspired and sustainable solutions, like those of the Vietnamese company Bao Lan Textile with its line of silk and fabrics created from pineapple leaf fiber, will be on display in the new “Initiatives” zone at Hall 4’s entrance. These products, which were created in collaboration with Ecofa Vietnam, provide natural UV protection up to 50+ UPF and have antibacterial qualities. The China Textile Information Center’s trends forum and the Econogy Hub, which unites Messe Frankfurt’s knowledge on sustainability-related textile industry efforts, will also be held in this space. The range from Japan’s Toyoshima, renowned for its streetwear designs, “non-denim” textiles that require very little water, and its incredible wagami fabrics—made from blends of extremely fine threads manufactured to order from cotton—is also worth discovering in the athletic industry.

Apparel Sourcing: focus on Africa and near sourcing

Apparel Sourcing also has a great session in store. With more than 500 exhibitors expected – up in February 2024 – the show’s rich offering of finished products, clothing and fashion accessories will be on full display over the three days. Especially when it comes to local sourcing. Alongside the major manufacturing nations – led by China and India, and Pakistan and Bangladesh,  both of which have grouped their exhibitors under their national pavilions – visitors will have access to products from the Africa zone, with a hub of  companies from Ethiopia, Rwanda (Pink Mango) and the Arise Integrated  Industrial Platform, which brings together the expertise of garment  manufacturers based in Togo, Benin and Gabon. Ukraine, back with 5 companies supported by its national textile association, will be adding to the Euromed offering from Foursource, Messe Frankfurt’s near sourcing partner, which will be presenting catalogues from companies in Eastern Europe, Portugal and Morocco.

An optimised sourcing experience

Alongside the return to the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre, the visiting areas have been reorganized. To develop new synergies between raw materials and final products, the sectors and services’ layout has been examined. Hall 4 has been set up with women’s clothing sections (All about her, Embrodery & Lace, Silky aspect, etc.) that focus on knitwear, silk, and lace, while Hall 3 will feature a sizable section dedicated to the outdoor, athletic, and casualwear offerings. With trend forums, product presentations, services, and the Agora for conferences and round tables, Hall 2 will serve as a hub for networking, leisure, and catering in addition to being a location for inspiration and interaction.

Econogy, Small Quantity & Hand Made: themed itineraries The Messe Frankfurt France team has created three exhibitor itineraries to accommodate the needs of guests. For instance, the Econogy Finder trail allows guests to locate over 80 sustainable textile producers, identified by the Econogy badges shown on the associated booths and mentioned in the show app. The more than 200 suppliers who can provide small quantity production—less than 300 items for clothing or less than 100 meters for fabrics—are then highlighted in the Small Quantity itinerary. A benefit for customers seeking small orders for capsule collections or limited editions. Lastly, the Hand Made itinerary lists the more than 130 exhibitors whose catalogs showcase genuine, handcrafted goods or distinctive abilities. The web directory of the show also features direct listings for these manufacturers.
