Largest and most comprehensive Garment Technology Tradeshow in Bangladesh GTB 25 and largest Garment Accessories & Packaging Tradeshow GAP Expo 2025 begins on 8th January

The 14th edition of Gapexpo-2025 will be held from January 8-11, 2025, at Navratri Hall # 4 and other halls and hangers/tents of Bashundhara International Convention City (ICCB). At the same time, Garment Technology Bangladesh-2025 will be held at the same time. Like other years, this year too, the fair will be held in a total of 10 halls, including 4 main halls and hangers/tents. 250 exhibitors will participate in the fair in 900 stalls. Out of which, more than 18 countries are participating. There are also many organizations from India, Japan, Vietnam, China, South Korea, and Germany. Representatives of all relevant departments including 2,100 BGAPMEA organizations, more than 4,000 BGMEA organizations, more than 1,000 BKMEA organizations, print and electronic media, and the Ministry of Commerce have been invited to promote the fair. The co-organizer of GapExpo has invited more than 50,000 organizations/individuals to promote the fair. They expect the total number of visitors to be around 80,000, including 30-40,000 business visitors.

This year’s fair will be held at the opening ceremony of the fair on January 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mazaini Hall on the 2nd floor of Navratri Hall # 04 of the International Convention City Bashundhara. Sheikh Bashir Uddin, Honorable Advisor to the Government of Commerce and Textiles and Jute Ministry, will be present as the Chief Guest, Mr. Park Young Sik, Honorable Ambassador of the Korean Embassy in Bangladesh, will be present as the Guest of Honor, Mr. Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury, President of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries, Mr. Mohammad Hatem, President of BKMEA, Mr. Shawkat Aziz Russell, President of BTMA, Mr. Kim Sang-sun, Chairman of Korea Packaging Association, and Mr. Abdul Hai Sarkar, Chairman of Bangladesh Association of Banks.

On January 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM, a seminar titled ‘Sustainable approach by BGAPMEA’ will be held at the 2nd floor of Navratri Hall # 04, Magaini Hall, under the chairmanship of Mr. Abbar Hossain Sayem, President of Bangladesh Apparel Youth Leaders Alliance, where Syeda Rezwana Hasan, Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forests, Climate Change and Water Resources, Government, will be present as the chief guest, BKMEA President Mr. Mohammad Hatem, Managing Director of Trimco Group Mr. Romaric Deville and Regional Country Manager of H&M Group Mr. Ziaur Rahman will be present as special guests. On the same day at 3:00 PM, a seminar titled ‘Sustainable Growth of Garments Accessories & Packaging Sector of Bangladesh’ will be held at the same venue under the chairmanship of Mr. Rafez Alam Chowdhury, Former President of BGAPMEA, where Honorable Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur is expected to be the chief guest and CPD Distinguished Fellow Professor Mostafizur Rahman is expected to be the special guest. In addition, experts from the garment accessories and packaging sectors will also be present in the seminar.

The closing and award presentation ceremony will be held simultaneously on January 11, 2025 at 3:00 PM. The Chief Guest will be the Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Ministry of Shipping, Retired Brigadier General Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain. The Special Guests will be Additional Secretary to the Government, Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau and Administrator of BGMEA, Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Member of the National Board of Revenue (Customs: Exports, Bonds and IT), Mr. Md. Moazzem Hossain, President of Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association, Mr. Mohammad Pabel. Additionally, as part of BGAPMEA’s social responsibility program, free tree planting and voluntary blood donation programs will be held throughout the four days of the fair.
