Intertextile Apparel begins today, setting new sourcing standards
The Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition opened today at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai), marking the start of one of the world’s largest and most influential textile sourcing platforms. Running until September 4, 2025, the fair is expected to draw strong international participation and set new benchmarks for apparel innovation and sustainability.
This year’s edition has brought together over 3,700 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, offering a diverse showcase of fabrics, materials, and solutions for the global apparel industry. Highlight features include the newly introduced Essential Suits & Shirts and Bespoke Performance zones, reflecting market demand for tailored fashion and high-functionality fabrics. Major global players such as Lenzing, LYCRA, Hyosung, and Sorona are presenting their latest textile innovations through dedicated pavilions, strengthening the event’s reputation as a premier sourcing destination.
Beyond product displays, the fair is hosting 37 seminars and forums, where experts are addressing trends in sustainability, digitalization, and performance textiles. The presence of eight overseas buyer delegations underscores the event’s global reach and its role in connecting international sourcing networks.
Held concurrently with Yarn Expo and Cinte Techtextil, the exhibition offers participants a comprehensive overview of the textile value chain, from fibers and yarns to technical fabrics and finished apparel solutions.
As the doors opened today, industry professionals emphasized that Intertextile continues to provide not only a sourcing platform but also a forward-looking space where the future of apparel fabrics is shaped.
