New York – Long-time home textiles executive Jeffrey Kambak has changed his LinkedIn status to “Recently Retired/Consultant.”
On Dec. 31, Kambak closed out his 18-month tenure as president of Yunus USA, a division of Yunus Textile Mills.
His 42-year career reflects the trajectory of the industry. Kambak got his start as an account manager at WestPoint Pepperell in 1983 and moved up the ranks through the 1990s and early 2000s as the company evolved into WestPoint Stevens, which at the time was one of the country’s largest U.S. home textile mills.
In 2005, he moved to Welspun as the Indian manufacturer was beginning its march toward power-house status in the U.S. market. He went on to hold senior positions at Li & Fung USA, Faribault Woolen Mills, Loftex USA, MindsInSync and Trident Group before his final stop at Yunus.
“The home fashions industry has been very kind to me. I’ve been blessed to have worked with some of the greatest business leaders, designers, and merchants in the business,” Kambak wrote in a LinkedIn post about the decision he and his wife made to retire in 2025. “I’ll miss the daily interactions, but am looking forward to our next step of the journey.”
