Garment Technology Tradeshow GTB 25 and Garment Accessories & Packaging Trade show GAP Expo 2025 Started

ASK Tradeshows & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd jointly with Bangladesh Garment Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) have organised 22nd edition of Largest and the most comprehensive Garment Technology Tradeshow in Bangladesh GTB 25 concurrent with 14th edition of largest Garment Accessories & Packaging Tradeshow GAP Expo 2025. An inauguration ceremony was held at International Convention City, Bashundhara, Dhaka this morning. 500 exhibitors from 25 countries have participated in this show spread over 8 halls.

Today, Wednesday (January 8), at 11 AM, the inauguration ceremony was held at the Mezzanine floor of Hall Number 4, ICCB. The Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Textiles, and Jute, Mr. Sheikh Bashir Uddin, was present as the chief guest. HE Mr. Young-sik, The Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh, graced the occasion as a special guest.

Additionally, Mr. Md. Shahriar, President of the Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA), Former President and Advisor Mr. Mohammad Moazzem Hossain Moti, Chairman of the Trade Fair Committee Mr.
Hasan Ul Karim Tamiz, Managing Director of ASK Trade Show and Exhibitions Private Limited Mr. Md. Tipu Sultan Bhuyan, and Director of the organization Mr. Nanda Gopal K. along with representatives from various industry-related institutions were present at the inauguration ceremony.

For the past 21 years, GTB has been organizing exhibitions showcasing global technologies in the apparel sector. These exhibitions offer opportunities to view a wide range of ancillary products including cutting, sewing, finishing, embroidery machinery, and retail items for the RMG sector. On the other hand, leading members of BGAPMEA showcase their latest innovations in garment accessories and packaging at the exhibition.

In his speech as the Chief Guest of the ceremony, the Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Textiles, and Jute, Mr. Sheikh Bashir Uddin said, “I am very glad to know the contribution of BGAPMEA member factories to our economy and I believe there are still huge opportunities to explore more. I will be happy to hear more for further development of this industry. We are currently passing hard time on gas price issue, I will encourage to use solar energy in industries. I thank all for contribution for our national development.”

HE Mr. Young Sik, the Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh, gracing the inaugural ceremony the inauguration ceremony as the special guest, said, “Bangladesh is a very potential market for textile. We have a very good business partnership with Bangladesh and we are looking forward for more investment from Korean manufacturers. “

Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, Managing Director of ASK Trade Show and Exhibitions Private Limited, the organizer of the exhibition, said, “Although we experienced a slight downturn in 2024, order volumes have increased significantly now. The diversification and expansion of non-cotton garments, especially sportswear, have introduced new types of changes, increasing the demand for specialized machinery, which is consistently showcased at the GTB exhibition. GTB is showcasing the latest innovations in sewing, laundry, finishing, CAD/CAM, and embroidery”

The Bangladeshi Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector is quite optimistic about 2025. With the decline of inflation in markets like Europe and America, Western buyers are starting to return. Despite political instability and labor unrest, the RMG sector achieved a 6.23% growth in export earnings in 2024. This improvement reflects the sector’s resilience and sustainability amidst overall challenges.

The tradeshow will be open to business visitors between 11 am to 7 pm.
