Denim Solution Ltd. Presents Textile Olympiad 2.0 Held in Barishal

The day-long “Textile Olympiad 2.0”, organized by Career Club BTEC, was held on August 23, 2025, at the auditorium of Barishal Textile Engineering College. With the sponsorship of Denim Solution Ltd., the event took place from 9 AM to 6 PM with a variety of programs.

The event was presided over by Engr. Md. Abdul Kader Bepari, Principal of Barishal Textile Engineering College. The Chief Guest was Engr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Founding President (BGWTF) and General Manager, Sterling Laundry Ltd. Special Guests included Mr. S. M. Sohel Rana, Managing Director, Denim Solutions Ltd., and Engr. Fokhruzzaman, CTO, Knit Concern Ltd. Several other distinguished figures from industry and academia also joined as session guests.

Competitions and Awards

The day-long event featured a Quiz Competition and a Business Case Study Competition. In the Quiz Competition, the top 10 participants received crests and certificates. Additionally, the Textile Engineers Association (TEA) announced that these 10 students will get the opportunity to attend industry visits in renowned textile industries across the country.

In the Business Case Study Competition, among the top five teams, three teams were awarded a total of 22,000 BDT along with certificates and money cards:

Champion: Team Brainics – 10,000 BDT

1st Runners-up: Team Warp – 7,000 BDT

2nd Runners-up: Team Problems and Solution – 5,000 BDT

Gifts and Hospitality

All participants were given T-shirts, pens, notebooks, and bags as souvenirs. For students’ convenience, lunch and snacks were also arranged.
