CEAB,CTFC visited BGMEA to explore bilateral trade growth opportunities between Bangladesh and China

Today a delegation from the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB) and the China Trade Foreign Centre (CTFC) visited the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in Dhaka to engage in discussions to explore bilateral trade growth opportunities between Bangladesh and China.

BGMEA was represented by Director Shah Rayeed Chowdhury; M Sajedul Karim, Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Trade Fair; and Masud Kabir, Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Press, Publication and Publicity.

The CTFC delegation included Xu Jiansheng, Operation Director; Ms. Cai Yiyi, Manager of the International Department; and Zhang Haoyu, Regional Specialist. While the CEAB was represented by Ge Zhenyu (Mike), Director / President of Textile and Garment Branch.

The meeting focused on understanding the current and future sourcing priorities of BGMEA members in China.

The delegation provided an overview of CTFC’s VIP Sourcing Service, which includes tailored matchmaking events, dedicated sourcing booths, and other services.

Both sides discussed increased participation of BGMEA members in upcoming editions of the Canton Fair.

Opportunities for arranging B2B meetings between Bangladeshi suppliers and Chinese buyers We’re also discussed.
