The MoU outlines a comprehensive partnership aimed at advancing research, education, skill development, and industrial exposure. Initiatives under the collaboration include internship programs, industry visits, technical workshops, and the establishment of a small-scale yarn dyeing lab at BUFT. A&E has also pledged to refurbish and maintain the “A&E Design Studio” on campus while providing sewing thread supplies to support educational activities. As part of the agreement, A&E will introduce an annual award to recognize the best-performing students across multiple BUFT departments, promoting academic excellence and inspiring students. Furthermore, biannual factory tours to A&E’s Gazipur manufacturing facility will provide BUFT students with valuable practical insights into the textile and fashion industries.

Distinguished guests at the event included Mr. Iftekhar Hussain, Director of GRS-Asia Region at A&E; Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor of BUFT; and Prof. Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Treasurer of BUFT. The ceremony concluded with an exchange of mementos, marking the beginning of a transformative partnership aimed at driving innovation and excellence in Bangladesh’s textile and fashion sectors.
