BGWTF Holds First Executive Meeting of the Year, Announces Major Initiatives

Members, well-wishers, and lifetime members of the Bangladesh Garments Washing Technologists Foundation (BGWTF) will be pleased to learn that the organization held its first executive committee meeting of the year on January 29, 2025, at Sea-Shell Restaurant, Uttara, Dhaka.

The meeting was attended by BGWTF President Mr. Abdus Samad, General Secretary Engr. Mahasinuzzaman Shishir, Founding President Engr. Mehedi Hasan, Former Presidents Mr. Md. Shahjahan Mozumdar and S. Alam Shaheen, Organizing Secretary Md. Yasir Arafat, Engr. Fazle Rabbi along with other members of the foundation.

Key Initiatives for 2025

To strengthen and expand BGWTF this year, several key initiatives have been planned, including:

  • Bringing all members under an insurance scheme for their welfare.
  • Laying the foundation stone for the organization’s own land and constructing an office room and seminar hall.
  • Continuing its annual social initiatives, such as organizing an Iftar and prayer gathering during Ramadan.

The Ramadan Iftar and Prayer Gathering has been scheduled for Friday, March 14, 2025, at Sea-Shell Restaurant, Uttara, following the tradition of previous years. All members are invited to attend.

Annual Get-Together Scheduled for May 1

The long-awaited Annual Get-Together (Milon Mela) has been tentatively scheduled for May 1, 2025. The venue will be announced soon. To make the event successful, lifetime members are encouraged to update their profiles on the BGWTF website.
