Bangladesh’s readymade garment (RMG) sector hopes for a better 2025 after experiencing challenges and hurdles throughout 2024, redefining its resilience against all odds. Industry insiders were optimistic that 2025 would improve as the global retail market was also improving.

One way to overcome these challenges is through policy-wise adjustments and individual efforts. On a policy level, individual factories must meet the European Union’s requirements. Nearly every industry will need to meet fiber recycling, water recycling, and carbon emission reduction requirements and achieve these targets.If we can produce more medium- and high-range products, export rates will gradually increase.
