Atlanta – The recent winter edition of Atlanta Market saw attendees travel from all over the country, which contributed to an uptick in attendance, signaling a strong start to the year in the gift and home industry.
Buyers from all 50 states attended, with an increased presence from the southwestern region, Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and more than 50 international countries. Overall, the market reported an eight percent attendance increase from last year.
Buyers were welcomed to thousands of product lines, including more than 40 updates to the extensive home and gift portfolio.
“I love Atlanta Market for so many reasons, but the most important is how welcome I feel, combined with a solid selection of vendors,” said Stephanie Gray, owner of Madison Marketplace, a gift and apparel boutique in Roxboro, NC. “This market is so convenient to visit, and I love that I can source products from all over the world in one place.”
“This was the busiest Atlanta show the industry has, maybe, ever seen,” said Wes Hardin, Diverse Marketing CEO, in a LinkedIn post. “… Nothing sets the tone for a year like Atlanta, and the outlook couldn’t be brighter.”
The home décor and furniture sectors also started the year with a wave of confidence, with CODARUS Territory Manager Tyler Lynch saying the market often sets the tone for the rest of the year. “Strong attendance, exceptional attention to detail from the Andmore team and profitability all capture why so many buyers choose Atlanta as their first trade show of the year,” she said.
According to exhibitors, an expansive selection of temporary exhibits increased exposure to new accounts. The temps featured more than 1,400 products across seven categories and included exhibitors from more than 20 countries.
The inaugural April Buying Week will be next in Atlanta, running April 1-4. The summer edition of Atlanta Market will be July 15-21.
“Atlanta Market was electric this Winter with a surge in buying activity and palpable enthusiasm throughout the AmericasMart campus,” said Jon Pertchik, Andmore CEO. “The collective success of our buyers and exhibitors underscores the strength of our industry and the enduring value we provide to our customers.”
